Terms and Conditions
These terms govern use of HostUrServer websites, client accounts and purchased hosting, domain, security and related services.
Effective 14 September 2026Agreement and eligibility
By ordering or using a service you agree to these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Notice and any product-specific terms shown at checkout. You must have legal capacity to contract and provide accurate account information.
Services and provisioning
Service specifications, billing periods and prices are those shown at checkout. Provisioning may require successful payment, identity or fraud checks, and third-party availability. Estimated activation times are not guaranteed unless expressly stated in a service-level agreement.
Customer responsibilities
You are responsible for account credentials, authorised users, lawful content, software updates, licences, backups not expressly included in a plan, and use of sufficient resources. Notify us promptly of suspected compromise.
Charges, renewals, taxes and price changes
Charges are due in the currency and on the dates shown on the invoice. Recurring services renew for the selected term unless cancelled through the client area before renewal. A prepaid term is not repriced retrospectively. We may change the price for a future renewal or ongoing monthly service to reflect supplier, infrastructure, exchange-rate, tax, regulatory, security or service-cost changes. We will give clear notice, normally at least 30 days before the new price takes effect. If circumstances outside our reasonable control allow less notice, we will notify you as early as reasonably possible. If a change is materially adverse, you may cancel the affected service before the new price takes effect without an additional cancellation charge. Promotional or introductory pricing may end as stated at checkout. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. Applicable taxes may be added or changed where required by law.
Domains and third-party services
Domain names, certificates and partner products are subject to registry or supplier rules. Registration and renewal depend on availability, correct information and timely payment. We cannot guarantee acquisition or continued availability of a requested domain.
Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend a service for non-payment, material breach, security risk, unlawful activity, urgent network protection or binding legal demand. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy.
Backups and data
Backups are not guaranteed unless explicitly included. Customers should maintain independent, tested backups. On termination, content may be deleted after the applicable retention period, so data must be exported before cancellation.
Availability and maintenance
We work to provide reliable services but do not promise uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance, emergency work, internet failures and events outside reasonable control may affect availability.
Liability
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, liability is limited to direct, foreseeable loss and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, the fees paid for the affected service during the preceding twelve months. We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, lost opportunity or customer content where exclusion is lawful.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms removes mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law. Digital services started during a statutory cancellation period may be affected by an express request for immediate performance and the extent already supplied.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Courts with mandatory consumer jurisdiction remain available; otherwise the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
Contact and complaints
Questions or complaints should be submitted through our secure contact form. We will aim to acknowledge and investigate them promptly.
